The USS United States was a wooden-hulled, three-masted heavy frigate of the United States Navy and the first of the six original frigates authorized for construction by the Naval Act of 1794.Built at the Humphrey shipyard in Philadelphia, PA she was launched on 10 May 1797 and began duties with the newly formed US Navy protecting American merchant shipping during the Quasi-War with France. This pen is crafted from wood sourced from the mast head block of the USS United States and is accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
This twist ink pen is finished in a chrome with gun metal kit and uses a Schmidt style refill; replacements are available where office supplies are sold.An optional display stand is available for $20. Optional gift box available for $5.
