USS New Hampshire Historical Ink Pen with COA
USS New Hampshire Historical Ink Pen with COA
The USS New Hampshire was a 2,633-ton ship originally designed to be the 74-gun ship of the line Alabama. She remained on the stocks for nearly 40 years before being renamed and launched as a storeship and depot ship during the American Civil War. New Hampshire was renamed Granite State on 30 November 1904 to free the name ‘New Hampshire’ for a newly authorized battleship with the same name.
A beautiful replica of the ship laid on the American Flag holds the diamond shape containing an embedded piece of copper spike recovered from a deck board. The lower and post sections of the pen contain white oak wood recovered from the fire and sinking us the ship. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
This antique brass pen captures the romance and adventure of old sailing ships. It has a captivating scene engraved on tip of a grand tall ship, while the end is embellished with the captain’s wheel and compass. Nautical rope accents can be found throughout and encircling the detailed Anchor clip, which given its history, is considered a symbol of a well-grounded hope.
A Schmidt Rollerball Ink Cartridge is included. Replacements are available at any office supply location.
Optional gift box available for $5. Wooden display stand available for $20
