Maple and Walnut Wood Ink Pen

Maple trees have been around in some form for over 60 million years.  Maples take at least 30 years to produce syrup, and they can easily live to over 200 years. Without maple trees, Tennessee whiskey’s distinct smoky flavor would not exist. Walnut wood is revered for its rich, dark color.  Black Walnut is most often used for woodworking for its fine, fairly straight grain.  It displays unique colors from the outermost part of the tree (pale yellow, grey to rich white) to the innermost part of dark brown, light browns with some purplish hues, reddish rays and dark streaks.
