The Hughes H-4 Hercules, also known as the Spruce Goose, is a prototype strategic airlift flying boat designed and built by the Hughes Aircraft Company. Although nicknamed the Spruce Goose by critics, it was made almost entirely of birch.The Hercules is the largest flying boat ever built, and it had the largest wingspan of any aircraft that had ever flown until the Scaled Composites Stratolaunch. This pen contains wood and cloth sourced from the Hughes H-4 and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
This twist ink pen is finished in a chrome with gun metal kit and uses a Schmidt style refill; replacements are available where office supplies are sold.
An optional display stand is available for $20. Optional gift box available for $5.
