Dragon Scales Dichrolam Acrylic Ink Pen

Dichrolam is the highest tech, most optically complex, most visually dynamic, and viewer-interactive composite in the world.  It is what the gemstone opal would look like in sheet form.  Comprised of over nine different polymer layers laminated in 3 separate steps. Although the Burls appear metallic, they have no metal in them.  The reflectivity comes from the light wavelengths.  A variety of applications include luxury sports car interiors, custom guitar faces, inlays to bowls, and jewelry making. Laser-cut dragon scales are cut into black dyed wood.  This pen is beautiful.
