Curly Maple is not actually a species of wood, but simply a description of a figure in the grain of wood. It is characterized by a rippled, wavy grain pattern that creates a three-dimensional, tiger-striped or flamed appearance. This wood has been dyed to a green hue. The pen hardware is the high-quality Elegant Monarch twist style with a braided center band on a gun-polished and antique bronze kit. Included is a Schmidt style in cartridge, which is available at all office supply stores.
