The Black Ash is strongly ring-porous, making it ideal for barrel hoops, snowshoe frames, canoe ribs, and material for woven chair seats. Each growth ring has a distinct porous area (spring growth) and a dense area (summer growth). White and black acrylic were mixed in the center, creating a hybrid blank.
