Artists Sketch Pencil Mallee Burl

This unique Artists Sketch Pencil is equally at home in the shop or an artist’s kit. You’ll find numerous uses around the house and shop for this heavy duty, practical and attractive mechanical pencil. The 5.6mm (nearly ¼” dia.) lead will never break. The pencil includes a precision, mechanism has an integrated sharpener in the cap. Includes an 80mm length of 2H lead. Graphite and ‘Magic Lead’ colored lead refills are available at most office or art supply stores.

Mallee Burl is a type of wood from Australia that is known for its unique color and intricate grain patterns.  It is harvested from the mallee tree, a scrubland tree that has distinctive mixes of color.  Those include pink to orangish red, while sapwood is pale yellow to grey. This pen has darker tones into the deep browns and blacks.
