The Lockheed SR-71 “Blackbird” is a long-range, high-altitude, Mach 3+ strategic reconnaissance aircraft developed and manufactured by Lockheed Corporation.It was operated by both the United State Air Force and NASA.A total of 32 aircraft were built; 12 were lost in accidents with none lost to enemy action. This pen was crafted using titanium material from the wreckage of SR-71 “Super Skater” which was lost on 17 June 1970 following a re-fueling collision with a KC135Q tanker.This pen comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
This twist ink pen is finished in a chrome with gun metal kit and uses a Schmidt style refill; replacements are available where office supplies are sold.An optional display stand is available for $20. Optional gift box available for $5.
