Faith, Hope and Love Spalted Maple Ink Pen

This Amazing Grace writing instrument is a gorgeous rollerball pen. The cross clip is the symbol of Christianity and the main focal point on this pen. It is adorned by other religious icons as well as a dove, crown of thorns and an olive branch. Each of these enhances and symbolizes aspects within the Christian Faith. The dove symbolizes the Holy Spirit, in reference to Matthew 3:16 and Luke 3:22 where the Holy Spirit is compared to a dove at the Baptism of Jesus. While the cross represents Christ’s crucifixion, the crown of thorns (on the top of the cap) does as well -- it was placed on the head of Jesus Christ at His crucifixion. Lastly, the olive leaf... according to Christian scripture, during the great flood, a dove was sent in search of land by Noah and returned with an olive leaf.

The wood is a beautiful Spalted Maple.  Though rare and difficult to find, spalted maple, with its eye catching black wavy streaks, is in high demand.  Spalted maple starts as a regular maple until decay causes a black marble pattern to form, making it anything but a commodity.

This pen is a perfect gift to recognize such sacraments or milestones such as baptism, holy communion, confirmation, marriage, and other holy events.  This pen uses a quality Schneider rollerball style refill, and replacements are available where office supplies are sold.
